Mayan Monkey Cancun - Social Hotel (Adults Only)

Just stayed at this hotel by the beach with an amazing view from the balcony. The included breakfast with delicious pancakes was a highlight. Would DEFINITELY choose this place again! The swimming pool was even better in person!

Unfortunately, my experience at Mayan Monkey Cancun was disappointing. The pool was small, and the lagoon side felt dreary. While the tacos were good, the noise at night was disruptive. On the bright side, the location was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The sensory journey through Mayan cosmology was mind-blowing. Exploring the arch's 9 points felt like a treasure hunt. Immersing myself in the cenote and snorkeling in the reef was pure magic. Meeting adventurers from around the world was a blast. The underworld guide tour was a wild ride. Celebrating with old friends under clear skies was heartwarming. Sharing family recipes was a treat. And let's not forget the fun-filled pool and bar—a perfect recipe for a good time!

The hostel is in a prime location near all the action and buses that run through the main zone, rooms are clean, and staff is super friendly. They have a cool vibe with plenty of activities to suit everyone's taste poolside lounging and live entertainment - great for chilling out after a day of exploring. Just a small heads up, music from nearby clubs can get a bit loud at night, but nothing earplugs can't fix. Overall, a solid choice for a fun, vibrant stay! 🌴

However, the staff at the 24-hour front desk pleasantly surprised me with their fluency in both English and Spanish, which made communication effortless. The guided tour at Coba & Tulum exceeded my expectations with its traditional buffet food, providing an enriching cultural experience.

Staff should be more supportive.

The staff was so helpful and friendly, and my room was spacious and comfy with great AC, just what I needed in the heat. The bar area was awesome for chilling and meeting new people, especially helpful since I was traveling solo. The only thing that bugged me was having to return my blanket and towel at checkout, a hassle if you're a solo traveler with a lot of stuff already. 🌴

During our stay, we were pleasantly surprised by the prime location of the hotel. It was just a short walk to a beautiful beach, where we spent many relaxing days soaking up the sun. Additionally, we discovered that the hotel was conveniently situated on the bike path, making it easy for us to explore the Jardin del Arte, located about 4 km away from the hotel. The proximity to these attractions allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture of the city.

While the amenities and location of the hotel were great, we did experience one small inconvenience during our stay. The bed in our double room was rock solid and far from comfortable.
